Our Irons Office
The Irons office of Borema-Hamm is on 10 1/2 mile road. We’re proud to have been in the Irons area market since 1991. If you stop by, or call, the Irons office, you’ll likely be talking to Pam or Dave. Tony, Bruce and Dave both work out the office on a part time basis as well, but they’re often out of the office on sales calls.

Pam Shute
My name is Pam Shute. I have been a resident of Wellston for the past 7 years. My favorite summer pastimes are kayaking, gardening, and taking long walks on the 80 acres of federal land adjacent to my home and spending time with friends. In the winter, when I am not blowing snow or shoveling my roof, I spend a lot of my time reading mystery novels, watching old movies and working on various craft projects.

Lorie Miszewski
Hello, my name is Lorie. I started at the agency in 1986 when it was Borema-Blohm and hope to continue working many more years for Borema-Hamm. I grew up in the Free Soil-Fountain area and have lived in the Village of Fountain for the last 24 years with my husband Rich. We have two grown children Rochelle and Charley. I enjoy spending time with my family, walking around the neighborhood, reading and relaxing “up north”.

David Kott
David Kott and his wife Donna first came to Irons, Michigan in 1984. This quiet community was a stark contrast to the fast pace he experienced downstate. Once per month weekends to the cottage with the family eventually turned into twice per week as he downsized himself to remodel his home up north.
David found that life in the woods was not always the simple, laid back life, he’d had in mind. He stays involved in the neighborhood homeowners association, has taught his grandchildren how to be “stewards of the forest”, involves himself in several ministries at his local Church and serves on the Board of Directors of Little Mary’s in Wellston. With a little effort, David found his schedule was very full. He served as Director of Weatherization for a local community action agency until he severed his Achilles tendon. When Bruce Borema learned of his accident, he knew David would no longer be climbing ladders, and invited David to join him in the Irons office.
David enjoys finding ways to keep premiums down and securing the best insurance coverage. His “give back” attitude has paid off. This last year, the Irons office realized a significant increase in new policies. David encourages everyone to keep his or her business local and to rely on the personal service his local office offers. He is especially thankful for the many referrals and support he has received from the community. davidk@boremahammins.com if you need to contact me directly.
